General Info

Katsume Restaurant is a cozy Korean restaurant located at 171 Queens Ave, London, ON N6A 5J7, Canada. It’s the kind of spot that feels easy to walk into-whether you’re grabbing a quick bite downtown or planning a relaxed sit-down meal. The dining room vibe leans casual, but the food comes out with that comforting, made-with-care feeling that keeps people coming back and leaving strong reviews.

If you’re scanning the menu for a first pick, Pork Katsu is a safe and satisfying start. The breaded cutlet hits that crisp-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside sweet spot, making it a reliable option when you want something hearty. On a colder day, Kimchi Katsu Nabe brings a deeper, warming comfort-savory and bold, with that unmistakable kimchi character that feels both familiar and exciting. It’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the table service experience instead of rushing through a meal.

For something a little more interactive, the Hot Stone Pot Chicken Bibimbap is a standout. That sizzling bowl moment is real-the heat keeps working after it hits the table, so each bite stays hot and satisfying. Mix everything together and you get layers of flavor that feel balanced and filling without being heavy. If you’re in the mood for noodles, Jjajangmyeon delivers rich, comforting bites that feel like a classic you’d order again without thinking twice. And when you want a snackable, spicy kick, the spicy rice cake 떡볶이 brings that chewy texture and punchy heat that Korean food fans look for.

Practical details matter, and Katsume Restaurant keeps it straightforward. There’s a wheelchair accessible parking lot, plus a paid parking lot option nearby for convenience. Paying is easy too, since they accept credit cards and debit cards. Whether you’re visiting from around London or exploring the area, the location is simple to find, and the overall experience feels welcoming from start to finish.

What customers say?

“ Really tasty dinner at KatsuMe before heading to the Grand Theatre for a show. Tried the pork dumplings to start, and then I had the Bulgogi on Rice and my husband had the Bulgogi Hot Stone Bibimbap. Everything was really delicious and flavourful, and the portions were large! Great value, will definitely return and recommend! ”

“ Just went here for the first time for lunch, and it was really amazing. We ordered the spicy rice cakes, the kimchi katsu nabe, and the beef curry on rice. I also got a kiwi-ade to drink. The food was absolutely delicious - truly some of the best I've had in a while. Our server was also excellent and very lovely. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready, and our food came out very quickly. I am definitely looking forward to coming back very soon so we can try more things on their menu! A tip for parking: the municipal lot off of Queens behind the restaurant (where the London Music Hall is) has free parking on Sundays, and is only a 1 minute walk up the alley by Spageddy Eddy's and to the restaurant! ”

“ This place is a must visit! We really enjoyed our experience here- the service was attentive, friendly, and quick. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great. We ordered the katsu platter which includes a bit of everything- calamari, shrimp, chicken, pork and fries with a bed of salad with a bunch of sauces to dip. It was a lot of food so if you're only 2 people, make sure to go hungry. There was almost no wait time for a table or food. Our server walked us through the menu and provided great suggestions. Highly recommend- we will be back. ”

“ KatsuMe is a gem hidden in plain sight. Ran by what seemed like a lovely couple, the restaurant is the perfect place to have a bite with a date / friends. I was initially hesitant about the prices, but the portions were much bigger than expected and well worth it. Everything was delicious and the woman serving us was a cutie. The Katsu was especially worth it as it was gigantic and came with complementary rice and miso. My beautiful girlfriend and I will definitely go back! ”

“ Not a flashy restaurant so if you drove by on outside could be easily missed. I was amazed on the size of the king katsu but decided against ordering. I am sure that is a wonderful dish to try but make sure come hungry. Corn cheese was okay not spectacular. I find there was a bit too much oil at the bottom of the metal plate. Rose rice cake. Flavor isnt spicy overpowering. Quite enjoyable although some of the rice cakes were all stuck together. Maybe need to separate them prior to cooking during the thaw out process. As it leaves portions without flavoring. Seafood tofu soup comes with a bowl of rice. You will find some shrimps and squid but I wasn't sure if there was a whole egg inside. Dish also came with 3 condiments and they were all quite tasty. Nabe katsu was a very interesting method of cooking. It made the katsu quite soggy by cooking it in a soup. More suited for those that dont want the crunchy crispy texture. Cheese katsu portions are decent. Comes with fries too which is unique. Flavors are spot on and the sauce provided enhance the taste. Overall a really nice hidden gem in downtown. Servers are nice and comes by to check on water level frequently. No wait on a Sunday snowing night. Only street parking available. ”

“ It was my birthday and my friend asked me where I wanted to go. I looked at various places and this one caught my eye. The Pork Katsu with beef curry was amazing and we also got some fried chicken which was equally awesome! My friend informed the staff it was my birthday and they made sure the night was special. I can't wait till I'm in London again so I can try more! Highly recommend!! ”

“ I picked up my food today, and the service was great! I ordered the curry bowl and the deep-fried seaweed roll—both were absolutely delicious and tasted so authentic. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great Korean food and service. I'll definitely be coming back! ”
